The Athens University basketball team hasn’t won a game in 30 years. But when spunky transfer student Lysistrata Jones dares the squad’s fed-up girlfriends to stop “giving it up” to their boyfriends until they win a game, their legendary losing streak could be coming to an end.

Adapted from Lysistrata, Aristophanes’ classic Greek comedy, Lysistrata Jones takes student activism to a whole new level and celebrates the journey of discovering and embracing who you truly are.

Guest director/choreographer is Brad Powell. Assistant to the director is Carolyn Koehler. Guest musical director is Keith Griffin. The stage manager is Erich Steinwandt.

Costume design is by Jennifer Hart. Lighting design is by Janine Myers, sound design is by Toby Carvalho, set design is by M.J. Matsushita, hair and makeup design is by Lisa Ponce de Leon and props design is by Sara Ward.

Performing in the show are Kirsten Tessa Antonio-Tolentino, Anette Arinix, Jody Bill Bachler, Chance Bridgman, Chandler Bridgman, Chase Bridgman, Nicholas A. Chun, Alexandria Ireijo, Vontress Mitchell, Sean Ramsey, Nicole Brilhante Shepard and Lelea’e “Buffy” Kahalepuna Wong.

The play is performed in two acts with one intermission.  Approximate running time is 2 hours and 15 minutes.  Minimum age is 13.
