Students hone their actor’s tools and explore techniques that make Shakespearean text both accessible and fun, then apply what they learn to create exciting characters. Why play Shakespeare? Because the work takes no less than 100% commitment, but as in life, when you take big risks, the payoffs are enormous. The 8-week class will focus on tools for working with the challenging language, as well as on how to make exciting choices to bring larger-than-life characters into being.

MVT Studio is truly a place to grow and develop as an actor. Out of all the classes I've taken on the island, this is the most fulfilling and challenging. It is truly a place to grow.

Janine Myers is a master at her craft. Her generosity of spirit in sharing her expertise was invaluable! I now have a greater appreciation and understanding of the intricacies of lighting design.
